Programs
There will be two informal programs: a fall program in October and a Christmas program in December. Please feel free to bring cameras or video equipment to these programs. We will have cookie sign-up sheets posted a few weeks before so volunteers can supply treats following the performances. There will also be a formal recital in May.
Recital
Our recital will be scheduled for late May. The recital is optional, but we do encourage all
students to participate. A rehearsal is held the evening before the recital.
Recital Fee
A recital fee is collected in April. These funds are used to help offset expenses associated with facility rental, programs, technical crew, etc.
Costumes
Recital costumes will range in price from $40-$50. Parents will measure their dancer, choose costume size, and pay for costumes in December.
All orders after February 1st will have a late fee added.
Locations
Pulpit Rock Church is located
at 301Austin
Bluffs Parkway
(near the corner of Austin Bluffs and
Nevada).
Snow Days
We will follow District 20’s schedule on snowy days - if there
is a delayed start, we will
have dancing. If school is cancelled, dancing will also be cancelled. If
the weather is questionable, please call 761-7965 for a recorded
message, or check here.
Half-Day/ No School
Schedule/ Holidays
Classes will be held at the regular times even on days when there
is a half day or no school.
Observation
Parents and siblings must wait outside of the dancing room until
the end of class. Parent programs/recital are the best times for photo
ops and video taping. This will cut down on distractions, especially for
young dancers who are learning to concentrate, and help us maximize our
time together! We will keep the door open from time to time so that you
can “peek” in…thanks for your cooperation!
Our 5 Dance Positions
1. Attend class properly
dressed and on time.
2. No eating or chewing gum while class is
being conducted. Only water bottles are allowed in the dance
rooms.
3. Students are expected to behave with
politeness, respect, and courtesy to teachers and
peers.
4. Parents are responsible for supervising
students (and siblings) prior to class. Children under 12 may not be
left unsupervised in the
building when not in class. Teachers arrive early to set-up and work on
choreography. Students may enter the dance room 5-7 minutes before
class begins...we are not supervising students before that time!
5. Everyone is responsible for keeping the
facility clean and cleaning up after themselves.
