Liz Cates
began dancing when she was a sophomore in high school and also did gymnastics and cheerleading in junior high.  A good friend suggested that she try-out for the dance team, so she did…little did she know that her suggestion would change her life forever. She immediately began taking Jazz and Hip Hop classes at Denton Ballet Academy , as well as basic ballet classes from another local studio. She was chosen as an officer on her high school dance team and followed that with making the UNT Dancers' team. She met two girls from Denton Bible's dance ministry called Reach Across shortly after she quit the UNT dance team...their goal was to "reach across" to others through the medium of dance, and reach people with the message of Christ. It is Liz's goal to not only teach some jazz and hip hop basics, but also to have fun dancing while honoring Him who gave us the gift of dance. She looks forward to this coming year and also getting her little ones Kaitlyn (4) and Kenzie (1 1/2) involved in dance.
