Dress Code Guidelines

  1. Leotards may be camisole, tank, short or long sleeve.

  2. All levels may wear skirts of any color/pattern.

  3. Hair must be pulled back in a braid, ponytail, or bun for all classes. Hair must be in a bun for Ballet levels 3-5 and Training students.

  4. Students may wear tanks over their leotard, but it must be the same color as their leotard.

  5. Bras may not be showing. Midriffs may not be showing. Crop tops must be worn with a leotard underneath

  6. No booty/short shorts. Black athletic shorts may be worn only if tights or biker shorts are worn underneath.

  7. No dangly jewelry of any kind.

  8. Dance shoes may not be worn outside the building because it reduces the life of the shoes, and it can bring hazardous materials into the studios that can cause damage to the flooring.

  9. Girls ages 9 and up: cover ups for top and bottom must be worn over leotards when entering and leaving the premises (to promote modesty).


Pearl (purity) Twirl Babies, Tots, Ballet, Combo classes:  light pink or white leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes (also black tap shoes for combo), optional skirt or tutu any color

Twirl Showtime-solid colored top, black leggings, joggers, or shorts. Boys need black jazz shoes, girls need tan jazz shoes- no tap shoes; 

Twirl Hippity Hop-solid colored top, black joggers, leggings or shorts, clean sneakers

Twirl Acro-solid colored leotard or fitted shirt, black joggers, leggings, or shorts, and foot paws or bare feet

Amethyst (royalty) Primary Ballet and Primary Ballet/Tap, Ballet 1a, and 1b: lavender or dark purple colored leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, optional skirt

Sapphire (heavenly) Ballet 2a, 2b, and Pre-Teen: light blue or royal blue leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, optional skirt.

Ruby (covenant) Ballet 3a and 3b: scarlet or burgundy leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, optional skirt or black shorts

Ballet 4 and 5, Teen Ballet: black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, skirt or black shorts

Adult Ballet: solid color leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, skirt (any color/pattern) or black shorts

Training Division: black or navy leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, pointe shoes if applicable, optional skirt

Pre-Pointe: solid color leotard and pink tights (no shirts, shorts, or skirts as we will be focusing on alignment) 
Pre-Pointe students also need to bring these items to class: yoga mat, beach/bath towel, foam roller, and tennis ball.

Worship and Contemporary: solid colored leotard or fitted shirt, black joggers, leggings, or shorts, and dance socks or bare feet

Modern: solid colored leotard or fitted shirt, black joggers, leggings, or shorts, and bare feet

Hip Hop: solid color tank or tee, black joggers, leggings, or shorts, hip hop sneakers or regular sneaker (sneakers may not be worn outside, inside only shoes)

Primary HH/Jazz: solid color tank or fitted tee, black joggers, leggings, or shorts, tan slip on jazz shoes and black sneaker with very little white or grey. No colors, reflective material, or blinking lights. Option to choose a jazz sneaker.

Jazz: solid color tank or fitted tee, black joggers, leggings, or shorts, skin tone or tan slip on jazz shoes

Musical Theater and Primary MT: solid color tank or fitted tee, black joggers, leggings, or shorts
Levels Primary-3b: skin toned jazz shoes (girls) and black jazz shoes (boys)
Level 4a/4b/5: black jazz shoes and tan character heels (ladies), black jazz shoes (men)

Leaps and Turns: solid color tank or fitted tee, black joggers, leggings, or shorts, tan or black jazz shoes

Irish: solid color top and black leggings. Ankles must be visible. Black ballet shoes or black ghillies. Black tap shoes for hard shoe (needed for ages 9 and up, not for Irish 1 class). Traditional Irish hard shoes encouraged for Irish 4 and 5, optional for Irish 3.

Ballroom/Swing: comfortable clothes and shoes with rubber or suede sole. Heels for females are preferred but not necessary (no heels for swing).

Tap: Black joggers or leggings need to show knee alignment or be able to be pulled up over the knee.  Solid color top
Black lace up hard shank tap shoes (no split sole or slip ons)

Hula: black leggings, solid color top, bare feet

Creative Collaborators: comfortable clothes you can move in/workout clothes

Acting/Vocal Showcase: ages 8-11 solid color top and bottoms. Ages 12+ class wear all black (solid black top and bottom). Street shoes must be worn- no socks or bare feet.

Men: black athletic pants or shorts (fitted not tight), white or black shirt, black ballet shoes
